What does a typical day involve?

Before I start work, I like to meditate, workout and go for a sea swim. A typical day for me in the office involves a mix of strategic planning and engaging with our team. I often start my day with meetings to discuss our marketing strategies and product development. I also spend time connecting with our customers and partners across the globe. 

What’s your favourite thing about your work?

My favourite thing about my work is the creativity involved in crafting unique flavours and products. I love experimenting with different ingredients and seeing how they come together to create something special that people enjoy. I also love that I get to travel all over the world promoting our products. 

Interesting fact about The Muff Liquor Company Experience?

An interesting fact about The Muff Liquor Company Experience is that the building used to be an old car repair garage. It had been in the village of Muff for decades, when we were renovating the building we decided to keep the car pits as floor features as we didn’t want to remove the building’s history.

What was your first job in the industry?

My first job in the industry was founder & CEO of The Muff Liquor Company. I did go to a small distillery, where I learned the basics of distillation and production. It was a hands-on experience that ignited my passion for the craft. I had the idea for the company since I was 19 years old so I was determined to learn and make it work. 

Highlight of your career so far?

There’s too many highlights of my career so far to choose one. Winning our first major award for our Muff Gin in Vegas, signing Russell Crowe, Ed Sheeran, Jimmy Carr, Ronan Keating & Ryan Tubridy on as investors was a huge day and our opening of our Visitor Experience Centre in Muff this Summer was incredible. 

Favourite food match with one of your products?

I love pairing our gin with a fresh local seafood dish, like grilled prawns. The botanicals in the gin complement the flavors of the seafood beautifully.

Favourite Muff Liquor Company Serve?

My favourite serve is our signature cocktail The Muff Man, which combines our gin with fresh herbs and citrus. It’s refreshing and showcases the quality of our product.  Link to recipe https://www.themuffliquorcompany.com/serves/the-muff-man

What’s your favourite drink?

My favourite drink is a classic Muff gin and tonic, especially when made to our 'perfect serve' recipe, with high-quality tonic water and garnished with fresh rosemary and a slice of orange. 

If Muff Liquor Company products are not on offer, what’s your drink of choice?

If our products aren’t available, I would choose another Irish product. I believe it’s important to support our own. 

What excites you most for the future?

What excites me most for the future is the potential for innovation in our product line. I’m eager to explore new flavours and sustainable practices that can enhance our offerings and contribute positively to the environment. I’ve also moved to Miami recently to prepare to launch into the US which is incredibly exciting for the entire team and myself.
